Everything You Need to Know About Lash Extensions

Are you ready to elevate your beauty game and embrace the world of lash extensions? Whether you’re a lash newbie or just looking to enhance your existing knowledge, you’ve come to the right place!

At Velvet Lash in Roswell, GA, we believe that every set of lashes tells a unique story, and we’re here to guide you through everything you need to know about lash extensions. From the different types available to the materials we use, let’s dive into the details that will help you achieve the luscious lashes of your dreams!

1. Understanding the Different Types of Lash Extensions

When it comes to lash extensions, you'll often hear terms like classic, hybrid, and volume. But what do they all mean?

- Classic Lashes involve the application of one extension to one natural lash, creating a natural look with added length. Think…enhanced mascara!

-Hybrid Lashes are a blend of classic and volume techniques, providing a fuller appearance while maintaining some of the natural lash characteristics. If you’re used to a light strip lash look, this is your go-to choice.

- Volume Lashes take it up a notch with multiple lighter extensions applied to each natural lash, resulting in a more dense and fluffy look.

Each technique is applied with precision by our skilled artists, ensuring that your desired outcome is achieved while keeping the health of your natural lashes in mind.

2. The Quality of Materials Used

The materials of lash extensions play a crucial role in their appearance and feel. While many salons may use various types of fibers, at Velvet Lash, we pride ourselves on using only the finest PBT foam Mink fibers. This high-quality material offers a soft, silky, and ultra-luxe feel, ensuring your lashes not only look stunning but also feel comfortable throughout wear. With Velvet Lash, you can expect a lightweight and natural look that enhances your beauty without compromising on quality.

 3. The Safety of the Process

Many people wonder if lash extensions are painful or harmful to their natural lashes. The good news is that when applied by a professional artist, the process is both safe and comfortable. Our experienced technicians take every precaution to ensure your comfort during the application. However, it's essential to note that some individuals may have allergies to the adhesive used. If you experience any reactions after receiving our services, we are happy to offer a removal to ensure your safety and peace of mind.

4. Choosing the Right Shapes and Curls

When it comes to lash extensions, not all shapes & curls are created equal. The perfect lash style is determined by your eye shape and your desired outcome. The health and integrity of your natural lash is our main priority! Without healthy lashes we can’t do what we love most, which is your lashes! When it comes to choosing a lash length for you, we don’t recommend more than 2mm longer than the natural lash.

Whether you're looking for a subtle enhancement or a bold statement, our artists will work closely with you to find the ideal combination of curls, shapes and lengths that complements your unique features. From cat-eye to doll-like looks, we’ve got you covered!

5. The Longevity of Lash Extensions

One of the most common questions we receive is, “How long do lash extensions last?” Typically, lash extensions can last anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. However, due to the lash cycle to maintain that flawless look, we recommend booking touch-ups every 2 to 3 weeks. This helps us remove over grown lashes and replace with fresh new extensions. Regular fills will ensure your lashes remain full and beautiful, allowing you to enjoy your stunning new look for as long as possible!

With this basic newfound knowledge, you’re well on your way to making informed decisions about lash extensions. At Velvet Lash, we’re dedicated to providing you with a luxurious experience and the most beautiful lashes. Ready to transform your look? Book your appointment today!
